EUNICERT: Ethereum Based Digital Certificate Verification System

Abstract

The fake certificate is a special global problem in today's digital age. Thousands of universities and educational institutions around the world do not exist but can release hundreds of millions of fake degrees. Verifying the integrity of qualifications is a real challenge for today's employers. Applying the anti-data modifying properties of blockchain technology, this study proposes a solution issuing and verifying digital certificates called EUniCert to solve this problem. By changing the design and integrating new consensus algorithm used in Ethereum platform into the Unicoin network that was used to verify and store the information related to the issued digital certificate, the EUniCert improves the latency to validate transactions as well as the number of verified blocks in the blockchain network compared to the previous solution that we have proposed. We implement a simple blockchain system to illustrate the management operation of the digital certificates on the ethereum platform. Besides, we conduct a simulation to evaluate the performance of our proposal compared with the previous system. The result is that the average latency decreases by 3.27 times as well as the number of verified blocks increases by 11% compared with the previous system.

Machine Learning in Network Security Using KNIME Analytics

Abstract

Machine learning has more and more effect on our every day’s life. This field keeps growing and expanding into new areas. Machine learning is based on the implementation of artificial intelligence that gives systems the capability to automatically learn and enhance from experiments without being explicitly programmed. Machine Learning algorithms apply mathematical equations to analyze datasets and predict values based on the dataset. In the field of cybersecurity, machine learning algorithms can be utilized to train and analyze the Intrusion Detection Systems (IDSs) on security-related datasets. In this paper, we tested different machine learning algorithms to analyze NSL-KDD dataset using KNIME analytics.

A Risk-Aware Deep Reinforcement Learning Framework for AI-Driven Intrusion Detection and Adaptive Response in Autonomous Vehicles

Abstract

Autonomous vehicles expose in-vehicle networks to sophisticated intrusion threats. Although deep learning-based intrusion detection systems achieve high accuracy, most approaches remain detection centric and do not address adaptive mitigation under real-time constraints. This paper proposes a multilayer AI-driven framework integrating temporal deep learning, contextual risk modeling, and deep reinforcement learning-based mitigation. A hybrid CNN–BiLSTM model captures spatial payload characteristics and bidirectional temporal dependencies in CAN sequences. Detection output feeds a risk aware formulation fusing attack probability with ECU criticality, vehicle speed, and safety indicators. A Deep Q-Network learns mitigation policies minimizing residual system damages. Evaluation on the HCRL car-hacking dataset demonstrates strong detection performance. The adaptive policy reduces average system damage cost by 54.63% compared to static monitoring. End-to-end latency of 0.0205 ms per sample satisfies real-time constraints. By integrating detection, severity modeling, and adaptive response, the proposed architecture advances intrusion detection toward intelligent cyber-physical mitigation for resilient autonomous vehicles.

Concurrency and Performance Challenges in Large-Scale Distributed Applications

Abstract

The article presents an analysis of concurrent execution issues and delivered performance in large-scale distributed applications deployed in cloud-native environments. The relevance of this direction is driven by the accelerated diffusion of the microservice paradigm and container-orchestration practices, within which classical synchronization and coordination approaches often become the dominant factor behind throughput degradation and latency growth. The text identifies baseline patterns of state management and state processing and then examines–at a detailed level–the causes and enabling conditions of data races in asynchronous execution loops. A separate emphasis is placed on the specificity of Kubernetes operators and on the requirement of idempotent reconciliation cycles as a key prerequisite for predictable system behavior under repeated triggers, partial failures, and mismatches between the observed and desired state. The research goal is formulated as the development of recommendations aimed at reducing latency and increasing reliability under concurrent access to shared resources and shared entities. To achieve this goal, methods of systems analysis are applied, architectural-pattern modeling is performed, and retrospective reflection on recurring failure patterns observed in production systems. The theoretical foundation relies on works devoted to distributed ledgers, while the applied part is supported by operational guidelines and engineering practices for running NoSQL solutions. The outcome is a description of the distinctive properties of a model for handling concurrent requests, designed to improve the resilience and controllability of distributed-component behavior. The findings presented in this work are expected to be of practical interest to system architects, DevOps engineers, and researchers working in the field of distributed computing.
